Terms of Service

These terms cover lotgreeter.com, the Lot Greeter dealer dashboard, and the AI greeter that dealerships put on their websites. Lot Greeter is operated by Lot Greeter LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company (“Lot Greeter,” “we” or “us”). By using any of them, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

If you're talking to a greeter on a dealership's website

  • The greeter is an AI assistant, not a person. It works for the dealership whose website you're on, and it can hand you to a real person on the dealership's team.
  • Confirm details with the dealership. The greeter answers from the dealership's listings and website, but it can make mistakes. Prices, availability, equipment, offers and incentives are set by the dealership and can change. Nothing the greeter says is an offer to sell, a quote or a promise by the dealership.
  • No financing terms. The greeter doesn't quote payments, interest rates, lease terms, trade-in values or discounts. It connects you with the dealership for those.
  • Use it fairly. Don't use it to break the law, harass anyone, give someone else's contact details, try to override its instructions, copy it in bulk, or disrupt the service. We may limit or block access that does.

If you're a dealership

  • Your agreement comes first. Your order form or subscription agreement with us governs your use of Lot Greeter. Where it conflicts with these terms, it controls.
  • You own your data. Your website content, inventory, conversation transcripts and leads are yours. You let us use them to run your greeter and to improve Lot Greeter, and we never share them with or show them to another dealership.
  • De-identified data. We may create aggregated statistics and de-identified examples from how your greeter is used, with nothing that identifies you, your dealership or any visitor. We use them to improve Lot Greeter and to describe how it performs, they belong to us, and we keep them after your agreement ends.
  • You're responsible for:
    • the accuracy of your listings, prices, offers and website content, which the greeter repeats;
    • your advertising compliance. The greeter is built to avoid quoting financing terms and to disclose when a price includes offers, but you remain the advertiser;
    • telling visitors in your own privacy policy that you use an AI chat provider, and having a lawful basis to contact the leads we deliver;
    • written consent from any real person whose face or voice your greeter uses;
    • keeping your dashboard sign-in details secure and telling us promptly about any misuse.
  • Deleting your data. When your agreement ends, we delete your data within 30 days, as set out on our Security page. Only the de-identified data described above is kept.

Our service

We work to keep Lot Greeter available, accurate and secure, and we improve it over time, which can mean changing or retiring features. Lot Greeter, its software and its brand belong to us. These terms don't give you rights to them beyond using the service.

Disclaimers

Except as your written agreement with us says otherwise, Lot Greeter is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI can be wrong, and we don't promise that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about Lot Greeter is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you haven't paid us. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for dealerships, give notice before material changes take effect. Continuing to use Lot Greeter after that means you accept the new terms.
